Perfektionismus Maximus
Perfektionismus Maximus engages with the social pressure to function: to be healthy, productive, controlled, and conforming to the norm. The series asks who gets to define what a “healthy person” is in the first place, and exposes the tensions that arise between self-optimization, overload, and inner disintegration. At its center lies a condition that is constantly demanded, yet can never truly be attained.
The works were created in the context of the exhibition “Perfektionismus Maximus with Lisa d.Robin” in Berlin and enter into dialogue with questions of burnout, depression, control, and social conditioning. The digital collages condense these themes into surreal visual spaces in which familial, bodily, and social norms appear both familiar and unsettling.
