Prejudice is faster than morality

The series “Prejudice Is Faster Than Morality” is my first artistic work from 2019 and marks the beginning of my engagement with social imagery, attribution, and the inner mechanisms of perception. Its point of departure is the question of how quickly prejudices arise — often before thought, empathy, or moral reflection can even begin. The works take up these premature judgments and translate them into pointed image combinations that are at times ironic and at times unsettling.

With 100 collages on A4 wooden panels, a serial body of work emerged in which repetition and variation consciously interact. The visible wood surface gives the images a raw, direct quality, while the fragments appear like mental sediments, cultural codes, and social reflexes. The series thus forms an early foundation of my artistic language: collage as a means of exposing social patterns, making contradictions visible, and unsettling what appears self-evident.
